In Memory of: Uncle Elmer whose life was tattered and torn from birth. Death took his mom the first weeks of his little life. He was rejected and raised in the mountains of West Virginia by neighbors. He made his home from an out house. He was denied a piece of apple pie and after several knocks upon a door was finally given a plate of food. His body bore the marks of an abusive life. He was misunderstood and laughed at, but that didn’t stop Uncle Elmer. One night his life was taken in his forties, although he didn’t have a military funeral, he served his country in the army. The cry for seeds of mercy was planted in the soil of Linda’s heart and the memory of rescuing Uncle Elmer still live on today.
